So True

Had dinner at Dune Dogs in Stuart last night!  Yum!
Stopped at Sebring International Raceway on our way to Fort Pierce.  Over 50 cars were practicing, acuras, Ferrari's, porsches and all kinds of prototypes!
You know you are traveling in Florida when the sign on the side of the road says "Watch out for Buzzards n the Road", and the truck in front of you looks like this!
1/29 -  Have spent several days in Sebring at my brother Charlie's home.  We have been relaxing.  Charlie and John went to wood show in Tampa. Charlie has become quite a craftsman and turns wood.  He does beautiful work.  (some photos below).  Johns first trip to "Steak and Shake'  YUM!  Leona and I have been playing cribbage.  We are well matched opponents.  Been out to eat a few times, met some friends.  It has been an enjoyable time, but as always flies by to quickly.  (Oh did I mention the amaretto, lemon cheesecake? )
Another beautiful, but chilly day in Navarre.  After our gourmet chef Kathy made us quiche, we went for a ride.  First stop, the National Seashore.  Beautiful and raw the way God made it.  Lots of shells after a stormy day yesterday. As we continue our tour of Navarre, next stop, the Navarre pier.  It is the longest pier in the Gulf Coast.  Lots of fisherman and birds.  Said hello to some of pelican friends. Next stop, the Holley by the sea club house.  They have it all here.  The girls headed home and the boys were off to get our dinner. On the drive there, saw an interesting site. Another yummy dinner! Thank you Kathy and Steve, you are wonderful  friends!
Arrived at Kathy & Steve's beautiful home last night.  I think I need GPS to find my way around.  What fabulous home.  We had our own guest suite!  Kathy made a delicious lasagna and a great salad and we talked all evening. Today Kathy and I went to  La France!  What a great antique place.  It just went on and on and on.  Of course we made some purchases.  We also stopped at delightful road side veggie stand and purchased some delicious produce.  Kathy  also took me to Navarre beach, what a beautiful place!  It was not all built up with high rises.  It looked like a beach should look.  The waves were rough and sand was blowing.  The sand was so white, so many birds flying and fishing.  It was such a peaceful scene.  Wild Oat grass was growing at the National  Seashore. It was so beautiful.  What a great place to relax and meditate. The guys went off to do "MAN" stuff.  They visit...
Off on our first snowbird adventure. First stop was New Jersey at my sisters. We got to see Kerry and David and Carolyn. It was really nice to see them and Katy  made us a wonderful dinner. The next day we poked around Chester and went to a tea room for lunch and then shopping for bargains.   John had a nice long Lunch with an old colleague. Then home for Chinese food and we watched Definitely Maybe .  It was a very nice day. Saturday we all went to breakfast at carters in search of the “perfect” French toast.   Katy and I went shopping for a while and John was home and watched college basketball.   We all stopped and  saw Carolyn’s house.  What a nice home!  We watched bicentennial man that night.   Good movie.    Sunday watched football all day and had yummy chicken parm and watched our boys win.  Then back on  on the road for several days.   Will arrive at our good friends Kathy and Steve today.  We are ve...
