John and Liz Travels

After along bus ride To Fairbanks we boarded a paddle wheeler along the river.   Saw a plane take off on the water, then sled dogs and an Indian village.   Then off for some great Thai food downtown.   Wonderful day.

Beautiful ride about18 miles 4000 ft elevation into Denali national park.   Another very knowledgeable guide!

Took a covered wagon into the woods with our guide and future author from Georgia, Jackson Ellet.  Great meal after!

A great day in talkeetna and back to lodge for dinner and some time by fire.   Back to room before rain and hail storm!

Started with great breakfast at lodge.   Then bus to town to catch boat ride with Jesse and walk in wilderness.  Then burgers in town, some shopping and back to lodge.  Sat on back deck looking at Denali.   Little smoky so couldn’t quite see the peak.   Shopped in a great gift shop then dinner and sat by fire pit’   Wonderful day!

Arrived in Whittier and took a very scenic train ride to tiny talkeetna.  Cotton balls floating everywhere.   Going to the brew pub for lunch.  Saw moose ma, goats, duck, geese!
